What to know before adding UV light technology to your home’s HVAC system

Hey y’all, Olivia from Just Fix It here.

I’m out here with my team member, Chris, we’re getting a UV light installed at this unit. One of the most common things that we see when people are interested in this technology, which we’re getting installed right now, is the difference between the technology that just cleans the surface or just cleans the coil and one that actually cleans the air.

So what we install typically is the type that actually cleans the air as it’s being passed by the light, but the other type is a surface cleaning one that would just protect a unit and clean the coil. So as you’re kind of comparing options, if this is something you’re interested in, just make sure to know which type you’re looking at so you can compare apples to apples.
