How much is the installation of an AC?

What is included in an AC installation?

An AC installation includes:

Site Examination: If you’re replacing an AC unit, it’s likely at least a decade old or more! New units are much larger than older ones because they contain larger coils, making them more efficient. Therefore, the current space for your AC may not accommodate the modern one you’re about to install. A professional from Just Fix It can examine if the current space will work or find a new place for your new AC.
Current AC Removal: Before a pro can install the new one, the old one must go. You CAN NOT do this step on your own.
EPA standards prohibit openly venting an AC’s refrigerant into the atmosphere. A Just Fix It professional can safely and correctly remove the refrigerant.
Area Prep: Once the old AC is removed, the area will need to be prepped for the new one. The pad the AC sits on will need to be replaced. ACs are heavy, so some ground sinkage is possible, too. Gravel will be used to level the ground.
The Unit Itself: The cost of AC installation will also include the unit’s price.
The Labor: The labor it takes to install the unit will be included in the price.

Can I install an AC unit myself?

Where should a ductless mini-split unit be placed in a room?

Ideally, a ductless mini-split system should be placed seven to eight feet above the floor, with about eight inches of space from the ceiling.

Ductless mini-split systems need to be installed to allow easy access to the air filters and louvers.

What is ductless air conditioning?

A ductless mini-split is several small units that regulate the temperature in specific rooms. Each unit runs independently, depending on a particular room’s needs and square footage. This has enormous savings potential since you’ll only be using energy to cool rooms you want instead of wasting cool air on rooms you don’t need it in.

A leaky air duct can be responsible for up to thirty percent of efficiency loss in a central system. You won’t have that problem with a ductless mini-split.
